Asad Ismi is a writer on international politics specializing in U.S.

policy towards the Global South and the role of Canadian corporations

there. He is author of two books, nine reports, four radio

documentaries and 90 articles published in 20 magazines. He has written

for 21 progressive Canadian labour unions and non-governmental

organizations including the Canadian Union of Public Employees,

Canadian Union of Postal Workers, Canadian Labour Congress, the Halifax Initiative Coalition and MiningWatch Canada. He is winner of a Project Censored Award for his article "The Ravaging of Africa" which was released in 2007 as a radio documentary series.  The highly acclaimed documentary has reached an audience of millions all over the world.

 

Asad holds a Ph.D. in War Studies from the University of London and

taught for two years in Vietnam. He is a regular guest on community

radio stations across Canada and the U.S.
